Development Team Member 

Requirements for the position:

• Must have experience in marketing

• Must have experience in event coordination

• Must have excellent verbal and visual communication skills

• Must be able to work collaboratively with team members 

• Should have experience in social media

• Should have experience in fundraising

• Should be personable, friendly, and outgoing

• Should have connections in Las Cruces

• Bilingualism in English and Spanish is a bonus

Job Description:

The development team member is responsible for fundraising and marketing for Cruces Creatives, a nonprofit makerspace dedicated to helping people make things and make things better. 

Responsibilities include:

• raising individual and corporate donations for Cruces Creatives, especially through employee giving arrangements

• organizing fundraising events, which may include large community events 

• raising community awareness of Cruces Creatives, especially through social media

• promoting Cruces Creatives’ community programs

• developing presentations and outreach materials with support from the Cruces Creatives team

The position is for 30-32 hrs/week (our team maxes around 32 hours for work/life balance), with a projected starting salary of $20-22/hr depending on experience, and includes flexible PTO. Hiring is provisional with a 60-day probationary period.
