Development Team Member
Requirements for the position:
Must have experience in marketing
Must have experience in event coordination
Must have excellent verbal and visual communication skills
Must be able to work collaboratively with team members
Should have experience in social media
Should have experience in fundraising
Should be personable, friendly, and outgoing
Should have connections in Las Cruces
Bilingualism in English and Spanish is a bonus
Job Description:
The development team member is responsible for fundraising and marketing for Cruces Creatives, a nonprofit makerspace dedicated to helping people make things and make things better.
Responsibilities include:
raising individual and corporate donations for Cruces Creatives, especially through employee giving arrangements
organizing fundraising events, which may include large community events
raising community awareness of Cruces Creatives, especially through social media
promoting Cruces Creatives’ community programs
developing presentations and outreach materials with support from the Cruces Creatives team
The position is for 30-32 hrs/week (our team maxes around 32 hours for work/life balance), with a projected starting salary of $20-22/hr depending on experience, and includes flexible PTO. Hiring is provisional with a 60-day probationary period.
