Beyond the Rut: Perspectives of Debilitation

Beyond the Rut is an inside perspective on a transitional period in early adulthood, filtered through the struggles of feeling stuck as an emerging artist. Each artist is a recent alumni and BFA from NMSU's art program, and they find common ground in their journey beyond adolescence. Navigating between career, mental health, and the mundane, the artists depict the complexity and the unique challenges of this moment as they leave comfort behind. Through the use of various mediums, Beyond the Rut captures a feeling that resonates with many young adults and artists asking the question, “where do we go from here?”
